DESCRIPTION:The City of Davis invites all residents to attend “Getting Around Davis” – a transportation event to learn about travel options and the rules of the road. \nThe first “Getting Around Davis” event is on Thursday\, June 6\, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at the Rancho Yolo Senior Community\, located at 174 Inner Circle\, Davis\, CA. This event is free and open to all types of mobility levels to learn how to access the many\, local transportation options and services in Davis\, including bicycling. \nThe June 6 workshop will include: \n\nUnitrans will be teaching residents about the various routes and handing out bus passes to those who qualify for the Access Pass\nYolobus staff sharing information about routes and assisting with signing up for the fare reduction pass\nDavis Senior Center staff providing information about Davis Community Transit\nCity of Davis Police Department will be discussing the rules of the road\nCity of Davis transportation staff highlighting the benefits of Capitol Corridor\, rideshare\, and Spin micromobility devices\n\nThis event is free and open to anyone wanting to learn about bike laws\, where to ride on the street\, rules for driving\, rules for crossing the street\, and more.\nFor more information\, please contact Jennifer Donofrio at jdonofrio@cityofdavis.org\, 530-747-8284. \nThis event is not organized or hosted by the Yolo Transportation District.
