Our Short Range Transit (SRT) will provide a sustainable, efficient, and effective system through maximizing service and minimizing cost impact. The goal of our SRT is to deliver services that are more responsive, more convenient, and more cost effective. Down below will be an updated Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP) that will govern YCTD’s efforts to enhance and promote alternative transportation over the coming years.
A Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP) is the document that generally plans out transit services and operations. The SRTP planning period is generally five years, but SRTPs may cover a longer period, typically seven to 10 years. Through the SRTP update process, the transit system, fleet needs, capital and operating costs and revenues, and new transit services or projects are assessed, and recommendations made. YoloTD’s last SRTP was prepared in 2014 and covered the fiscal year (FY) 2014 to FY 2021 time period. With feedback from the Board, contents and the process for a new update will be intended for 2023.
