LCTOP Free Ride Program
The Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP) is one of several programs included in the Transit, Affordable Housing, and Sustainable Communities Program established by Senate Bill 862 in 2014. With funding from LCTOP, YoloTD has been able to provide free rides through Yolobus’ Youth Ride Free program (expiring June 30, 2025) along with promoting free ride days in the region.
The LCTOP was created to assist transit agencies in reducing carbon emissions and improving mobility. Specifically, to assist communities in dire need!
These free rides could potentially help reduce emissions while also keeping the Yolo community moving!
