YoloTD is updating its Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP) for 2024-2031, covering Yolobus, Yolo Commute, Yolobus Special, and Beeline services. The last plan was in 2014, and a lot has changed since then in travel habits, funding, and technology. We’re also updating the Unitrans SRTP to ensure both networks work well together. We need your input to shape the future of our transit services.
A Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP) is a document that outlines how a public transportation system will operate and serve its community over the next few years. Typically, these plans cover a five-year period but can extend to seven or even ten years. The Federal Transit Administration requires any public transportation agency that receives federal funding to have an up-to-date SRTP. Additionally, regional planning organizations like the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) require transit agencies to have a current SRTP to receive state transportation funds.
Feedback is critical to our project. Let us know what you think about YoloTD’s current services and programs through our interactive map located on our interactive project webpage (Ver en español).

In June 2024, YoloTD hosted three Open House events for the community to learn about and share thoughts on the 2024-2031 Short Range Transportation Plan (SRTP). These open house events are essential for a community-driven planning process. We encourage all Yolo County residents to join us, share your experiences, and offer your valuable insights. Your feedback is crucial in shaping a safer, more connected future for our county.
