Transit Connect, the New Mobile Fare App for SacRT and Yolobus

Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) and Yolobus have launched a new mobile fare app called Transit Connect, which will replace ZipPass over the next few months. The ZipPass mobile fare app is being phased out.

Riders can download Transit Connect and purchase tickets or passes directly from their smartphone (regular and discount fares available, along with monthly passes and SacRT/Yolobus passes). Simply show your activated ticket to a bus operator just like with the ZipPass app, which will be phased out by April 30.

Key features include:

• Mobile fare purchase and storage – using credit/debit cards

• Visual fare validation – show your activated ticket to the operator (similar to ZipPass)

• Account protection – Easily restore tickets if you switch or lose your phone

• Full fare, discount fare, and transfers are all available in the Transit Connect app

Please note the following key dates:

• Last Day to Add SacRT Fare in ZipPass App: February 1, 2026

• Last Day to Add Yolobus Fare in ZipPass App: March 31, 2026

• Last Day to Use both Yolobus and SacRT ZipPass Passes/Tickets: April 30, 2026

• Unitrans (UC Davis) Transitions to Transit Connect: By June 2026
