MV Transportation Steps In As Yolobus Transit Operations Contractor

After 20 years of partnering with Transdev for the operations of Yolobus, we have welcomed MV Transportation as the new Yolobus transit operations contractor. We are deeply grateful to Transdev for their partnership through the past two decades and especially through the trying times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

MV Transportation officially took the reins on August 1, heralding a new era for Yolo Transportation District. There are many familiar faces and some new ones as well! Joining MV as Operations Manager is Julie Holmes, who many of you will remember from Transdev. John Davis will be MV’s General Manager, and we extend a warm welcome to him and the entire team.

The official handoff happened in the early morning hours, and Day 1 was filled with food, games, and important safety training as well. We would like to recognize our transit operations team — Daisy Romero, Courtney Williams Jr., Leo Hecht, and Daniel Gomez — who have worked incredibly hard throughout this transition. Many employees who worked for Transdev have stayed on through the transition and we are grateful for their ongoing service to our Yolo County community!

MV has assumed all customer service responsibilities for Yolobus, and the office at 352 Industrial Way in Woodland (next door to YoloTD’s administrative office) is now open 7:00 am – 7:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 9:00 am – 3:00 pm on Saturday.
