Daisy Romero & Brian Abbanat to Lead YoloTD!

YoloTD is excited to announce the appointment of Daisy Romero as our new Director of Transit Operations and Brian Abbanat as our Director of Planning, following a rigorous recruitment process.

Daisy Romero has been an integral part of YoloTD since starting as a Transportation Intern in 2016. Her journey saw her rise from Intern to Assistant Transportation Planner in 2017, then to Associate Transportation Planner in 2022. Daisy’s expertise has been pivotal in successful projects like the launch of our microtransit service, YOUR Ride (now BeeLine), the streamlined Route 42 rollout in 2022, and the subsequent BeeLine launch in 2023. We’re excited to have Daisy transition from her interim role to permanently lead as Director of Transit Operations.

With over 28 years of experience in transportation planning, Brian Abbanat brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position. Since joining us in March 2022 as Senior Transportation Planner, Brian has overseen major projects such as the Yolo 80 Managed Lanes Project and the Yolo Active Transportation Corridors (YATC) Project. His prior role as Senior Transportation Planner for the City of Davis further underscores his expertise. We’re pleased to have Brian continue his service as our Director of Planning.
