You’re Invited: Help Shape Yolo County’s Transportation Future at Our Open House Events!

10:00 AM

Woodland, Calif. (June 4, 2024): The Yolo Transportation District (YoloTD) is excited to invite the community to three upcoming open house events in Davis, West Sacramento, and Woodland. These events will offer residents a chance to learn about and provide valuable feedback on two important transportation planning projects:

  1. The innovative Yolo Active Transportation Corridors (YATC) project
  2. The Yolobus Short Range Transportation Plan (SRTP)

The YATC project is a groundbreaking effort to enhance active transportation in Yolo County. It will guide the development of new walking and biking paths and trails, addressing the current lack of facilities outside incorporated cities. The plan aims to improve safety and connectivity, especially for low-income and minority residents, and ensure better travel conditions for all ages and abilities.

The (SRTP) for Yolobus is a project that will develop a future service “roadmap” for our fixed route, Beeline on-demand, and Yolobus Special paratransit services.

Open House Events:

  • Davis Open House: Monday, June 17, 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library, 315 E 14th Street, Davis.
  • West Sacramento Open House: Tuesday, June 18, 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Arthur F Turner Community Library, 1212 Merkley Avenue, West Sacramento.
  • Woodland Open House: Thursday, June 27, 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Yolo Transportation District Board Room, 350 Industrial Way, Woodland.

These events are a crucial part of the community-driven planning process. Yolo County residents are encouraged to participate and share their experiences and insights. The feedback collected will play a vital role in shaping the future of active and public transportation in the region.

In addition to the open house events, the YATC project has hosted ten workshops in unincorporated communities across Yolo County. For those unable to attend in person, additional information and an interactive comment map are available online in both English and Spanish.

Join us at an open house event and be part of the transformation towards a safer, more connected Yolo County!
